[of course he sounds like he's deliberately being argumentative, but he's really more concerned about Nadeko than anything. Well, Nadeko and by proxy Watanuki.]

Here, pretty much everything bad that could happen, happens. But if you want to wear yourself out, and worry Nadeko-chan, then fine. You can come.

[Wakes Doumeki up who has somehow slept through all of this.]

The twerp says Nadeko-chan has a fever...we need to get her to the hospital to get looked at.

[grumbles, getting up. Stop calling Kazuma that, Wata. :| ]

[Huffs and starts getting dressed.]

Alright. I'll go get her.

[Doumeki heads in to Nadeko's room, kneeling down next to the bed and checking on her. She's just sort of half-awake and barely aware of what's going on. Kazuma's standing by, already dressed and watching her closely.]

What do you think is wrong with her?

Not sure... could just be the flu...

[Calms down a little while making the tea. Sips at his own while he waits for the others.]

[Of course he's tired, so it takes a second, but Doumeki finally realizes she's not in her bed. He glances at Kazuma with a slightly quirked eyebrow, but the boy only avoids his gaze so he doesn't question it.

Instead he picks up Nadeko quietly and heads out to the living room.]

[Offers tea to Kazuma, then gets a damp wash cloth and folds it to put on Nadeko's forehead.]

[Kazuma takes it with a grateful nod.

Doumeki frowns worriedly at Nadeko, but he doesn't say anything. He has an idea, actually, but he doesn't want to mention it around Kazuma.]

I'll get her coat and slippers...

[Wanders off to go get those.]

[Doumeki nods, waiting until he's gone to look pointedly at Kazuma.]

[Grabs Nadeko's coat, slippers and gloves, then gets the cat ear hat she'd picked out for him and comes back to the living room.]

Almost ready?

[no he's not pouting, what makes you say that]

[Manages to get all of Nadeko's warm clothes on her with some difficulty.]

[helping, of course. She doesn't really awake up through all of it, which is even more worrisome.]

[Removes the cloth from her forehead, but it still feels warm, before putting the cat-hat on her head. He kisses her forehead then looks at Kazuma and feels himself getting angry.]

Maybe...maybe I should just stay here.

[He manages to say without too much venom.]

[Doumeki just lets out a sigh, heading for the door.]

Let's go.
