It&#39;s so lame for me to fret

[Kazuma hovers back awkwardly, muttering 'its okay' softly.

Doumeki finally returns with a few drinks, the doctor that's going to examine Nadeko right behind him. Kazuma uses the momentary distraction to slip out of the ER hopefully unnoticed.]

Shhh, it isn't your fault, Nadeko-chan.

[He says, pulling away to allow the doctor some room. It takes him a minute to realize that Kazuma is gone.]

Eh...Doumeki, did you see Ikezawa-kun leave?

Hm?

[turns around, thinking Kazuma was just behind him somewhere]

... no.

From:

[Stands up and goes to the door but doesn't see him in the hallway.]

He...he was acting a little strange.

[He frowns.]

I'm going to see if I can find him.

[ she's being checked up on by the doctor, but she can't help but overhear. ]

Kazuma-kun ..?

[ she's trying to push herself into a sitting position. does she intend to go help find him? maybe. it's Nadeko. she feels like crap but she still worries. ]

Nadeko-chan, you need to stay down.

[Doumeki goes over and takes her hand, giving Watanuki a 'go find him' nod.]

[He wanders down the hall and into the lobby but doesn't see him right away. He tries the lobby bathroom, but with no luck there he considers asking the person at the front desk. However he spots Kazuma outside and quickly hurries after the boy realizing that he'd left his coat in Nadeko's room. He hugs his arms around himself.]

Ikezawa-kun! What are you doing out here!?

[Even in just a sweatshirt, Kazuma doesn't seem to notice the cold. He almost doesn't hear Watanuki - the reason being that he has his headphones on. He turns to look at him, tugging them down around his neck.]

... I needed some air. You should get back inside.

From:

You should have said something. You can't just leave without saying something.

[He sounded annoyed even though his teeth were beginning to chatter.]

You're going to be the next one sick at this rate.

From:

[He frowned, shivering and wanting very much to go back inside, but told himself he wouldn't until Kazuma agreed.]

Next time don't go off on your own without telling anyone.

[God, you're going to freeze to death out here, Watanuki...]

Fine...

[Kazuma sighs and jumps off the railing he was sitting on, shuffling back inside.]

From:

[Follows after him, rubbing his arms, although he's pretty sure they've gone numb at this point.]

Good.

[he doesn't head towards the room Nadeko is in, though. Instead he goes the opposite direction, obviously looking to just... get away for a while.]

From:

[Watches him for a moment.]

...message if you think you'll be very much longer.

[He turns to head back to the room, but stops again.]

Please.

[He stops, looking over his shoulder at Watanuki, most of his face obscured by the hood. He doesn't say anything, but he does nod in understanding before continuing to walk away.]

[Gets back to the room fairly quickly and slips his coat on before doing anything else.]

From:

[Doumeki looks up curiously. The doctor is gone and Nadeko is asleep again.]

They're running tests. What's wrong?

Nothing...he just said he needed some air. And now I feel like a popsicle.

From:

[Doumeki walks over and gives Watanuki a tight hug. He's probably not going to warm him up much more than the jacket, but he's trying to help.]

From:

[Snuggles against Doumeki, glad for whatever extra warmth he can get.]

Did you talk to Kazuma-kun or did you two just sit there glaring at each other?

From:

I talked to him. I was even polite...his birthday is coming up on the 19th.

Oh, that's when it is... we should get him something.
